Singleness: You're not Alone

Singleness is the state or quality of being single. Sometimes women think having a man will solve their problems. Some women even think if they don't have a man then it must be something wrong with them. Some women often think that marriage will fulfill their dreams. Well all these women are wrong. Having a man will not solve your problems because if you have all these problems before you met him and they are not resolved that's only going to cause more problems in your relationship. Second for the women who think its something wrong with you, trust me there isn't anything wrong with you, maybe it's not the right time for a man to be in your life. Just because you think it is doesn't mean it is. Sometimes you have to spend some time with yourself and love yourself so when you do meet Mr.Right you won't bring any problems and insecurities to the relationship. Sometimes we fail in our relationship because we don't have a good relationship with ourselves. And lastly for women who think being married will fulfill your dreams, are wrong. Marriage is more then just a paper document. It's a sacred bond of love between two people. And in order to keep that bond you have to love one another and work hard to make each day, week, month, and year last. You can't be selfish in your marriage, you have to love that person like you love yourself. Also you have to have communication and trust for your spouse to make it work. So before you make the big M-step make sure you are ready and fully committed to trust that person and willing to make it work through communicating in all good and bad times.

46% of all households nationwide are maintained by a single person

Being a single parent is tuff. I had two boys prior to my marriage, so I wanted a man so badly to fill that role. Sometimes I didn't even care if they were the right man for me. I'm a woman, I know we all long for someone to love and protect us. But sometimes we settle for the wrong men. I use to think if I put on something sexy and get my hair done that I could find Mr.Right in the club. Um nope that's the last place you wanna find Mr.Right more like Mr.Wrong. Majority of the guys in the club are hitting on you because of the scandalous clothes you have on. Just like they hitting on you they, hit on the next woman. Our body is a temple 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reads 19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. So when we disrespect ourselves women, we give men a reason to be disrespectful to us. How can someone respect us when we don't respect ourselves? We show this in the way we dress, the way we act, and carry ourselves like a lady. I know many women that are in unhappy relationships because they don't think they can get anyone better then the one they are with. I know women that are with a man because they don't want to be along. I know women that have gotten married because they wanted to be married. I know women that are unhappy because they settled for someone that don't complete them. When I ended my last relationship, I had so much hate against men. I had been in a horrible relationship, and I had the same feelings, I wanted to stay with him because I thought I couldn't find someone else. I had two kids now, and who would want all of this baggage? I also thought that I wasn't pretty enough to find another guy. I also thought that I should stay with him because we now had a child together , even though I wasn't happy. I was just tired of having relationship after relationship and it wasn't working. When I started going back to church and strengthening my relationship with God I realized that God promises to be a father to the father less and to defend those without husbands. I started changing myself to be a better women for my kids. And as a saved Christian women I started spending time with myself and loving myself as one of Gods creations. He shaped and molded me. So I'm beautiful in his eyes. I actually enjoyed being single. I had dates with my sons. I hung out with my family more and I became my happy self again. See I trusted God to protect my kids and be their father and to learn me how to show them that they are loved. I learned that God will send me a man when I'm ready. Sometimes we say we are ready but we are really not ready. Learn to love yourself and be happy and everything else will follow.

When you are careful to base your joy on God and not on the circumstances of life, you will receive 4 gifts.

Freedom- learn to accept whatever circumstances you are in you'll be free from misleading ideals that drain your energy without any return for your investment.

Blessings- when you look for good in every situation you stumble onto blessings you didn't realize you had. Even though they might be the ones you have chosen for yourself.

Satisfactions- don't focus so much on what you don't have. Learn to be satisfied. Satisfied in God will give you true fulfillment not with a man.

Purpose- use your statue to glorify God. Set you mind on things above not on earthly things Colossians 3:2 Don't put your life on hold thinking that you'll be happy when a man comes along. Stop focusing on your personal wills and focus on Gods wills. God can use your struggle to deepen your relationship with him and teach you lessons about trust and faith.

Be Blessed XOXO
