Recently I was invited to share information about my business on a Facebook live with my good friend Jessica Farmer from Healing Head to Toe, a wellness business that offers intravenous vitamins and a variety of health and wellness programs. The topic discussed on the live was "Food is Medicine." The theory that I have, my personal opinion, from research, and my own experiences in life brought me to the conclusion that we all can change our health through the way we eat.
One of the questions asked was, "how do you get more fruits and vegetables into your diet?" For someone who isn’t used to a healthy lifestyle this can be challenging. What helps me does not always help everyone else, but it is essential to eat a diet that is rich in plants. Plants contain our micronutrients, though protein sources include vital nutrients, without plants the body will be likely to develop a deficiency.
When the body digest plants, minerals, and vitamins are taken from the plants to provide nutrients for the body. The antioxidants from the plant, work to clean the blood from impurities such as toxics ingested in the body.
Remember, no matter where you are in the healthy lifestyle process, there is still hope, just choose today to take one step towards a better health.
