Success is not created the same. Everyone looks at success differently. The general definition of success is “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” It has nothing to do with the amount of money and fame you have, it deals with the accomplishments you are aiming towards or your purpose. The confusion in books, television, social channels will have you thinking that your definition has to look like everyone else’s. Your success only have to look like how you define it but to achieve the success you want, there are three commitments you must consider if you want to have your definition of a successful life.
First you must be committed to succeed. Just wanting a goal is not the same as achieving the goal. It takes making a commitment that you will be successful no matter what obstacles may try to get in your way.
Commitment to Action, everything that you want requires you to do something. For example, if you are hungry to achieve success in fulfilling your appetite you first must commit that you will fulfill your appetite, then you take action and cook a meal or find a place to eat. It requires you to take action in order for you to fulfill your appetite. The goals you want will only work if you work. Create an action plan and implement the steps, stay consistent, and choose daily only choices that will get you closer to your goals, and eliminate the ones that lead to setbacks.
Lastly be Committed to holding yourself accountable. Accountability means that you will responsible for yourself and the actions you take or choose not to take. No one can go achieve the goals for you, if you want something for yourself, you must recognize that I the coach, will help you through answering your questions, giving feedback, and showing you how to look at things another way. For example, if I was your personal trainer and you wanted to lose weight, I cannot do the exercises for you to help you lose weight because then that will only benefit me in my healthy living journey.
Hold yourself accountable, be committed to your success, and take action daily. This is what's going to help you achieve your goals in life.
