Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

When I think of fall, I visualize vibrant colors of orange, reds, and yellows. I see pumpkins and smell cinnamon, and the taste of apple cider. What I love about fall is that you get the best of both worlds. The weather isn't too hot its just right. To kick start the first week of fall I wanted to share a healthy pumpkin smoothie. This smoothie is packed with nutrients and its so delicious that you want to lick the bowl. I was never a fan of pumpkin as a child but this smoothie isn't boring. There is so many ways to personalize and make this your own.


Pumpkins are in their peak season in the fall and they offer lots of benefits to the body.

Pumpkins are rich in beta carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, iron, and folate these vitamins are beneficial to strengthening the immune system. When you consume pumpkins it can help your body build up an immune system that can help cells work better to combat germs and increase the speed of the healing process. One cup of pumpkin contains 200% of the body recommended serving of vitamin A.


Pumpkins are great in soups, salads, smoothies, and wraps. This fall season get creative and find more ways to incorporate pumpkins into your diet so that your body can reap the many benefits of this fruit.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Bowl

Serving 1

1 Frozen Banana

2 Pitted Dates

1/2 cup Pumpkin puree

2 tbsp. Hazelnut Butter

1/8 tsp Allspice

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/8 tsp Nutmeg

1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1/4 cup Oat milk


Toppings

Granola

Flaxseeds

Pumpkin Seeds

Banana

Apple

Cranberries

Banana


Directions:

Add all ingredients to blender. Blend until smooth. Pour ingredients from blender into large bowl. Top with your favorite toppings.
