Superfood Raw Brownie

I love chocolate and I love brownies. Lately I have been experimenting with raw vegan food because the more alive the food is, the more benefits it offers the body. When food is cooked, it depletes some of the vital nutrients. Though I am not fully raw, I love creating raw dishes in the kitchen. Raw is food not cook over 104 degrees Fahrenheit or 40 degrees Celsius. Most of the diet consist of raw produce, sprouted grains, and nuts.

These superfood brownies contain cacao powder. Cacao powder is made from the cacao seeds. Cacao is natures chocolate, and the more pure the cacao is the more benefits it has for the body. Cacao is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as magnesium, calcium, zinc, copper and selenium. Cacao contains many benefits, including improving our mental wellbeing. When consumed in its pure form it "triggers three neurotransmitters that are associated with elevating mood and mental well being: serotonin, dopamine, phenylethylamine."(Site)

Remember not all chocolate is created equal, only pure chocolate from the cacao plant is good for the body.
